The Painted Sole, launched in early 2009, is the brainchild of artist Gina Nagy Burns. Picture yourself as the muse behind an unforgettable one of a kind hand-painted accessory that exists nowhere else in the world, but your wardrobe.
Gina understands that the simplest things in the world can become a work of art with a little love and a little paint.
Gina says: “My love for art runs almost as deep as my love for stilettos, so the opportunity to blend fabulous heels and gorgeous art work is too good to be true”!
TPS prides itself with cultivating a relationship with each of its clients and working one on one to create a once in a lifetime piece of art. From Brides-to-be to Moms-to be, Metros to CEOs, Bohemians to Rockers, Preppies to Purist and everything in between, the mission stays the same: To create accessories that become the wearer’s ultimate wow factor, dream catcher and anything else their imaginations can put to paint.
The process is simple.
- Choose Your Accessory- You might already own the perfect accessory that is ideal for an “accessory upgrade” or you may decide to shop for the ultimate transformable accessory.
- Find Your Inspiration- Before you raid your closet or hit the boutique, stir you imagination by taking a moment to check out TPS Design Archive.
- Schedule Your Consultation- This can be by phone, email or Skype, and then you’ll receive a price quote. Gina can even send you design ideas if the Design Archives don’t help.
- Production Begins – Production can take 1 to 3 weeks depending on the time of year and urgency of need.
- World Premier!
The Painted Sole has been featured in the Pigments Gallery and the Atlantic Gallery in New York City as well as the NoHU Cultural Center in New Jersey. TPS offers a course for the Academically Gifted & Talented Youth Program at Montclair State University in New Jersey as well as TPS Workshops for children. Shoes are more than footwear, Junkies. They are art, education and life!! Speaking of art…I have a great post coming up about “Stiletto Art”, you will absolutely LOVE IT! Remember, to be a High Heel Junkie, you have to be balanced.
